Music Composition and Biome Progression - Devlog #9
Head Hunter » Devlog
Music System and Composition
A new music system has been implemented to handle track transitions for different game events. Custom-composed tracks courtesy of a new partner have been added for the village, ruins, and jungle biomes, enhancing the atmosphere of each area. The system dynamically changes the music based on key events.
Level Design and Progression
- Biome progression is now linear, removing the ability to backtrack.
- New marsh tiles have been introduced to improve biome variety.
Gameplay Adjustments
- Spikes in the Ruins biome have been recolored to make them more visible against the ground.
- Snail enemies now have reduced health for better game balance.
These changes aim to improve the pacing, visual clarity, and overall experience. The next steps will focus on refining transitions and further expanding the game’s soundtrack.
