Sounds, Fixes, and a New Boss - Devlog #8


Audio Enhancements

  • Added sound effects for:
    • Bat scraw
    • Splode egg explosion
    • Snail movement
    • Drone idle beeping and plasma attack
    • Splode buzzing
    • Bird taking flight
    • Bulb spores release
    • Hitting spikes
    • Laser charge-up and firing

Visual Improvements

  • Added glint and animations to chests and gold for better visibility.

Gameplay Adjustments

  • Converted snails from passive creatures to enemies.
  • Rebalanced enemy distribution in biomes to make early game progression smoother.

Systems & Bug Fixes

  • Implemented game states to prevent issues related to pausing, game over, and victory.
  • Fixed boss bar UI so it properly scales with screen size.
  • Resolved various bugs:
    • Bats flying through the ground
    • Splodes not dropping eggs
    • Cloaked cast particles lingering when their target died mid-route
    • Cloaked enemies being unable to heal bosses

New Content

  • Began development on a new boss encounter.
